Jeanne-Loïs and Ryno
A Cape Town Inner City Wedding

Jeanne-Loïs and Ryno are both in the wedding industry, and so they were torn between having a simple court wedding or a “full on wedding”, which meant bringing out all the stops – or in Jeanne-Loïs words: one helluva show.
After a little convincing from their friends, they decided on the latter – and what a production it was.
Along with the help from the wonderful Aleit Group, and the industries finest vendors like Fleur Le Cordeur, they pulled off an incredible wedding in Cape Town’s inner city. From the beginning the guests were treated to what really must have felt like a show. The invite stated that the ceremony was to be at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Strand Street, which is where all the guests gathered, only to be told that they were to wait outside.
At 4pm sharp, they were led through the empty church by Ryno, through the back exit and into a wonderful courtyard. When Jeanne-Loïs arrived, she too walked through the empty church, which was now lit up by candles.
Ryno and the guests got to witness her walking “down the aisle” via a live stream. Yes, a live stream… Jeanne-Loïs wasn’t joking about the “show” part.
From there the day just got better, with market-style entertainment and food for the guests in the courtyard, a live band, produce in baskets, string lights and a good amount of laughter.
We got to explore a quiet Cape Town with Jeanne Loïs and Ryno and upon our return were whisked up to the top floor of the ICIC building, to where the Aleit Group had created a wonderland for Jeanne-Loïs, Ryno and their guests. A few speeches, endless amounts of good food and wine, a killer view and to top it all off, a dance floor high up above the city.
Yes, this wedding was a massive production, but it also felt like a real-life event, where we got to witness two wonderful human beings pull off one helluva wedding for their loved ones. It truly was a treat to document.
